Ok here are my deadpan, to the point, concise, compact and in plain English list of materials that I think will dominate the future market conditions, put simply, directly…
Lithium gold rush. Nickel, cobalt, graphite, and rare earth metals surge. Steel and concrete stay steady. Oil declines as electricity powers cleaner energy.
Charging networks everywhere. Solar everywhere. Power storage everywhere.
Gas stations, are they the new Blockbuster? Nostalgia objects in the making. We’re living through an iPhone revolution, but for cars and energy.
Solar will dominate. Nuclear might creep back.
The sun replaces our electric bill. Coal retires to a museum.
Work to be done on the macro scale: grid modernization, robotic systems for recycling and sustainability, and geopolitics of materials.
My uncertain points:
A cautious “hmm” for Hydrogen power. I think Tesla’s method is stronger.
The eternal wildcard of clean, near-limitless, and always 30 years away… Fusion energy. But it is promising and possible, we know this but it takes a great deal of work. We need robots.
